Student Finance England Travel Grant Information
You may be able to receive a grant to cover some of your travel expenses if you are studying abroad as part of your course. This will cover the cost of any necessary travel and expenses related to you studying abroad as part of your degree. The amount you get will depend on your total household income, the same way your maintenance loan is calculated.
You must pay for the first £303(as of October 2016) of your travel costs yourself, but Student Finance England may cover the rest of the cost,
including other costs such as visa, vaccinations and medical insurance. Your travel grant with be reduced by £1 for each £8.73 of household income over £39,796.

- You must complete your Student Finance application for your second year to inform Student Finance England that you will be studying abroad during your second year.
- If you are eligible you will be sent an expenses claim form.
