Located in Sweden’s capital, Stockholm University is Sweden’s largest institution for higher education with leading international and national research in a wide variety of fields. It was established in 1878, characterized for its innovation and openness. With over 66,000 students at four different faculties, law, humanities, social sciences, and the mathematical and natural sciences, it is one of the largest universities in Scandinavia.
Stockholm University is located in the Royal National City Park of Stockholm, a few stops away from the campus area; you’ll find yourself in the middle of the centre of Stockholm with its dynamic city life. Stockholm is a cultural hub and economic centre, with many green areas and surrounded by water, making it an ideal place in which to enjoy a relaxed and exciting student life.

The monthly budget for a student is approximately 8,000 SEK
Exchange students can apply for housing through the university’s Housing Office but an offer of accommodation can’t be guaranteed. There is also a website run by the student unions in the Stockholm area which publishes private housing ads.
